Hi Mitch, Sharon (or maybe it was you!) sent me your beautiful and profound coffee table book. What a treasure - and certainly a labor of love. I'm reminded of the high excitement from the group working on it during the open space and felt it in and through all of the stories. I trust your family and work are going well. Looking forward to a report from your December "great event".

Soft and direct - what a great description. Mabuhay, Michelle (does it work when I say it like that?), to the Open Space world community space - a sister site to the OSLIST (an ongoing English-language conversation among Open Space facilitators and enthusiasts from around the world). As Shufang invites - feel free to join any regional, language-based or thematic Group you see here and also ask any questions you may have about the process here or on OSLIST. And have you read Harrison Owen's book, "Open Space Technology: A User's Guide"? If not, it is a great description of the process and its origin, in the words of its originator. We look forward to learning with and from you - here and on OSLIST - about all things connected to the dialogue method called Open Space...

Hi, Michelle

Welcome to our world community.
Very agree with "it's a non-threatening process of inviting and gathering people and drawing out their creativity and passion".

I facilitate an program yesterday, one of the participant said " open space process is soft and direct". People don't have to pretend or defend, they can just start and join any conversation they want.

Looking forward to hear more from you soon.

Shufang
