"Thank you, Arthur. I have read Harrison Owen's OST and Wave Rider. And have a very remote virtual contact with his son, Barry."

"Thank you, Lisa, for the warm welcome. Agree, nothing beats F2F. On the other hand, all you need for business is sight and sound, because touch and smell rarely matter in  business. Let me get my bearings in this forum as well."

Heard about it in Seth Godin's triiibes.com network. Got curious.
What surprised you the most about this method?
How it eliminates wasteful group interaction and unleashes goal-bound performance.

more about you
Read two books by Harrison Owen. Trust it works well, have yet to experience or apply it. Looking for an e-OST version for cases where F2F is not within reach.

Hello, Bernd - I am a co-host of this space along with Artur (Portugal) and Shufang (Taiwan).

There is indeed an online version - look up the key words 'OpenSpace-Online'.

It was developed by and field tested by Open Space facilitators to approximate the face-to-face process as much as possible. Nothing like the in-person experience, however, and perhaps then one day you add to that a workshop experience or further learning with the international Open Space community of practitioners and enthusiasts to teach you what is not evident from a participant experience - what lies behind-the-scenes for all the pre-work, design decisions, 'what-ifs' and 'when not to's' for this particular method. Just like for any facilitated process, there is much below the surface that supports the success of the process.

Closest event coming up nearest to Japan regionally - for you to have a participant's experience and to meet some Open Space facilitators in Asia - may be the Learning For The Future conference - see more about that in the 'Events' portion of this site...

Have you already red Harrison Owen’s book “OST – a User’s Guide” (a preliminary version can be obtained for free here http://www.openspaceworld.com/users_guide.htm ).
