Open Space Technology World Community

A space for OST language, region or thematic based Communities

It's good to see several more people join this group - including my Open Space mentor and occasional collaborator, Jack Martin Leith.

Any ideas on the purposes or potential values of the group?

Jim - the plan is to bring WOSONOS to London in 2012 - which Phelim, Matilda & co - with others supporting - are coordinating... Combining our energies on this would be a good thing, in my view.
That could certainly be something to which we could turn our energies, Jon. Although [and I admit this with some trepidation] I've never quite got the point of an Open Space on Open Space.

Maybe - in addition to your suggestion - we could find other topics of mutual interest to address. Perhaps the idea of a stammtisch would translate?
Having just returned from the Berlin WOSONOS - I would say that it is very valuable - if only for a clan meeting! I found several of the sessions very useful.

But a Stammtisch would work for me - just a question of naming a date and venue...
Let's see. Of our current 12 members we have:

• Five in London: Margie, Phelim, Annette, Nick and Matilda

• Three in the home counties Jon in Bucks, Jim in Reading, Jonathan in Haywards Heath

• Jack (last time I checked) in Bristol, Cliodhna in Chester, Rory in Belfast and Janine in New Zealand.

Suggestion: in return for holding a Stammtisch* meeting in a location convenient for them, maybe the London five would undertake to organise the thing?

* Stammtisch? Explanation here.
Hi guys... just a note to say keep me (& my www.DecisionLab.org.uk colleagues) posted about any get togethers. We're planning a couple of Open Space Co-learning workshops in Brighton & London.
